The story
The National Bank commemorates March 20, 1980 as the reintroduction of the Khmer riel. [1]
The riel was reintroduced on20March 1980 after abolition. This fixes the restoration milestone; continuity of old balances and uninterrupted use remain unproved. [2]
New riel state salaries and purchases provide direct account-use evidence. [3]
