The story

1 Egyptian pound = 1 first Sudanese pound. Egyptian pound as actually used in Sudan replaced at parity by first Sudanese pound. Original 1964 study supports local currency settlement and account-series continuity; exact 1956 Act uninspected. [1]

The Sudanese dinar succeeded the Sudanese pound at ten pounds per dinar. The 2002 Act expressly defines the dinar as the unit; the 1992 note introduction and July 1999 IFS unit/reporting milestone must remain separate. [2]
