The story
Bundesbank’s table dates the Zambian pound to November 16, 1964 at parity with a unit it labels Rhodesian pound; precise federal predecessor mapping remains unresolved. [1]
The same table dates the kwacha to January 16, 1968, at two original-scale kwacha per Zambian pound. [2]
That detailed indexed account says pound withdrawal was completed on January 31, 1974; this remains an unconfirmed issuer-history report pending original notice. [3]
