The story
A December 31, 1198 royal receipt acknowledges 70,000 sanchete sueldos from the bishop of Pamplona and declares payment satisfied. This directly establishes a Navarrese monetary payment unit. [1]
Tudela’s monedaje charter assesses two morabetinos, expressly equivalent to 15 Navarrese sanchete sueldos per fiscal household; its collection enters subsequent treasury accounting. [2]
The surviving monedaje register documents a levy of eight sanchete sueldos per household. [3]

The 1828 Cortes reconsidered the 1818 account reform because older reales sencillos persisted in contracts and public books; restoring that convention expressly protected pre-existing contracts. [8]
